More than 200 partners. More than 80 artists

We welcome you to the website of the Seville Jazz Association (ASSEJAZZ).
We are a group of music fans and professionals united by the desire to make the jazz culture sound and grow. That is why we created this association, under which to protect projects that serve to publicize, educate and enjoy this music.
On this website you can find out about the activities we carry out: seminars, masterclasses, jam sessions, and of course, our permanent program of concerts, where you can enjoy the best jazz projects made in Andalusia, as well as national and international artists.
You can also follow us through social networks to keep abreast of our day to day and if you like what we do, join this association so that in addition to supporting this initiative, you can enjoy unbeatable conditions at concerts and musical education.

we live jazz live

ASSEJAZZ is committed to the idea that a cultural ecosystem is sustainable and that its highest expression is live music, so our commitment is to promote multiple scenarios, where the interaction between diverse audiences and creative musical projects, which have adopted the jazz as a vehicle of expression, is possible and everyday. After years of work, ASSEJAZZ currently plays an important role in promoting jazz musical culture, contributing to the growth of professionals and cultural industries, and of course creating and consolidating for people who are passionate about jazz, an attractive and stable offer of live music, a growing training activity and a careful space for the exhibition and exhibition of creative projects generated in Andalusia and also at the national and international level.
ASSEJAZZ has been able to build a fresh and stimulating offer that grows and involves a growing number of artists and audiences, who enjoy our activities in equal parts.

cycles and jams-sessions

ASSEJAZZ has maintained for several years a stable sequence of concerts established in different formats and scenarios. Since 2015, the Jazz&Clubs Cycle has been held, currently located in the Turina Space, an institutional space belonging to the Seville City Council, where weekly concerts are held from October to June: live jazz with its own name, club jazz, an intimate space where bands they exhibit their music and where Andalusian projects converge with others of a national and international nature. In summer, it moves to an open space, the Andalusian Center of Contemporary Art, the Jazz Cycle in the CAAC, which during the months of July and August is the must-attend event for jazz lovers in our city in an emblematic space such as the Monastery of the Cartuja in Seville. The ASSEJAZZ Jams Sessions are a very open informal space, currently in a unique enclave such as Platea-Odeon-La Imperdible, in the old Plaza de Armas train station. Artists, music students, new musical projects, emerging artists and other consolidated artists and families who come to listen live music. This stable offer of live music offers around 80 concerts a year.

One of the largest activities that ASSEJAZZ organizes annually is its Jazz Festival. In total ASSEJAZZ has developed nine editions. The first four (2013-2016) alone and the last five (2017-2021) with the University of Seville, thanks to a collaboration agreement, which from its 20th Edition, decided the organization jointly with ASSEJAZZ. In this way, the last five years (2017-2019) the Festival is renamed "University Festival / ASSEJAZZ". Top-level international and national figures pass through it.

ASSEJAZZ develops a wide range of training activities, such as Courses, Workshops, Masterclasses and other activities such as conferences, aimed at very diverse audiences, from artists, or people interested in knowing the expressive keys of jazz music.
One of the most important concerns of ASSEJAZZ is to offer the performers of the Association and the general public in general, specialized training that allows closer contact with performers with greater experience or with a variety of projects, taking advantage of their time in programming ASSEJAZZ. They are organized in the form of Masterclasses.
ASSEJAZZ keeps the ASSEJAZZ BIG BAND active as its own project to promote a learning space for young performers.

The Association promotes and maintains its own Big Band: “ASSEJAZZ BIG BAND” with growing activity and programming throughout the year. It also collaborates with the "ANDALUCÍA BIG BAND" of which several of our musicians are part.

ASSEJAZZ has promoted the development of a series of alliances with different institutions in the city of Seville, which has allowed us to offer a stable offer of quality concerts throughout the year and, of course, a stage where artists can publicize your projects. This network of synergies allows the creation of collaboration spaces to pose new challenges that increase the cultural offer that we can offer to citizens from the public and associative sphere. Therefore, the alliances established with the ICAS, the CICUS, the UNIA and the CAAC pursue this objective, which is ultimately to enrich the cultural offer of our city.
